Facts about the
The Catholic Church of the Americas was founded on June 26, 1996.  The meeting of the founders has come to be
known as the
Hartford Covenant.

The CCA is here to stay.  Some say that nothing is written in stone.  In our case, however, it is.  On the tombstone of
our Presiding Bishop in Suncook, NH, his name is written as
Most. Rev. Denis Martel, CCA.

Episcopal Responsibilities:
Bishop Martel:  liturgy, job descriptions, personnel, finances, archives, Vox Populi, legal issues, statutes,
pastoral support
Bishop Teixeira:  annual synod, theology, ecumenical relations, external statements,

The CCA has an official
decree of intercommunion with the Apostolic Catholic Church in America (Bishop David
Strong, primate).

The CCA is divided into two geographical
dioceses.  Each diocese is headed by a diocesan bishop.  The Most Rev.
Filipe Teixeira is the ordinary bishop for the diocese of St. Francis of Assisi which encompasses the states of ME, NH,
VT, MA, RI, CT, NY, PA, NJ, DE, OH and IN as well as the countries of Canada, Africa and South America.  The
rest of the world makes up the Diocese of St. Henriette Delille with the Most Rev. Denis Martel as the ordinary bishop.
